The advertising industry has been waging a war against ad fraud for years now, however, desktop and display traditionally absorb most of the market’s attention and not as much consideration has been given to mobile ad fraud, but this is changing. Ad fraud follows the money trail, and with marketing budgets increasingly going to mobile and in-app advertising, fraudsters have followed. This is a look at how one mobile platform is tackling the problem head-on.
YouAppi and Fraud Protection
YouAppi, a mobile growth marketing platform, announced its own Fraud Protection suite as a new standard feature of its 360 Degree Growth Marketing Platform. The suite offers comprehensive fraud protection against click injection, click spamming, non-human traffic, and incentivized traffic. Risk is grouped into twelve different categories, with additional specifications available for geo-compliance, keywords, and custom site lists.

YouAppi also partnered with Fraudlogix to strengthen its abilities to detect and block mobile ad fraud. The partnership allows YouAppi to integrate Fraudlogix’ real-time intelligence – data about known sources of fraudulent traffic, including traffic from bots, malware, compromised devices, hijacked devices, data centers and click farms – into its platform, opening access to current threats within the online advertising ecosystem and further protecting marketers and app developers against mobile advertising and install fraud.
