The Latin American region had the highest percentage of fraudulent traffic globally in Q2 2019 with 13.5% of its ad traffic determined to be invalid. Globally, the fraud percent was 12%.

Q2 2019: Google Chrome dominates, riskiest ad traffic comes from Microsoft IE
Microsoft's Internet Explorer continues with the dubious distinction of having the riskiest traffic for advertisers in Q2 2019 with 26% of it fraudulent. Meanwhile, Google's Chrome continues to dominate the market with 65% of all ad traffic originating from the browser, and 14% of that traffic was fake.

Q2 2019: 15% of Android, 5% of iPhone ad traffic fraudulent
The latest data collected during Q2 2019 reveals that Google's Android OS was the most popular family of operating systems, however, almost 15 percent of ad traffic coming from those devices was fraudulent. Apple's iPhones fared better with only about 5 percent of ad traffic found to be fraudulent. Ad traffic from desktop devices running Microsoft's Windows OS was 14 percent fraudulent while only about 6 percent of traffic coming from Apple's Mac OS was fake.

Q2 2019: Ad fraud at 12%, majority of traffic from mobile devices
Globally, across all devices and regions, the percent of fraudulent ad traffic hovered around 12% in Q2 2019. A majority (62%) of it came from mobile devices with 11.6% of that traffic fraudulent.

In Ad Fraud Fight, 17 Percent of Windows OS Traffic is Fraudulent
In our last post on digital ad fraud we talked about the percentages of fraudulent ad traffic and broke it down by browser. We found that a majority of ad traffic - in both desktop and mobile channels - came through Chrome browsers and 14% of that traffic was fraudulent. Press Release: Report finds North America Region Has Highest Percentage of Fraudulent Ad Traffic Globally
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (October 17, 2018) – Fraudlogix, an ad verification company, has released a new report that finds 14 percent of North American digital ad traffic to be fraudulent - the highest percentage among four major global regions. Eight percent of Asia Pacific (APAC), nine percent of Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) and 12 percent of Latin America (LATAM) digital ad traffic was determined to be fraudulent.
